to complete some important hint about the film, I take from wiki : The Italian authorities have banned the film in 1982 because, in the words of Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti, "damages the honor of the army '. Gaddafi is one of the financiers of the film and demanded some false propaganda is purely historical. There are other minor errors, such as in the film clearly printed apologetic. But nothing decisive, and the word that "the facts recounted actually happened" that appears at the beginning of the film remains credible. There is not too heavy on the atrocities carried out, since the use of gas against the Libyans have just mentioned.

Ciò ha aggiunto vergogna ulteriore alla vergogna! Ma mi fermo con le invettive, è come sparare sulla croce rossa, come si dice... Nel mio piccolo mi limito a 2 considerazioni essenziali, e in termini assoluti, perché se si legge il film anche in questi termini allora non è solo l'Italia ad uscirne male da questa vicenda.
Valore della Resistenza
E' un fatto importante, la cosa che mi ha più colpito. Non ho potuto non pensare al grandissimo valore che ha avuto la resistenza italiana durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Vorrei essere più moderato ma non mi riesce, è qualcosa di cui sono convintissimo: è stata la Resistenza a restituire dignità ad un popolo, il nostro, che in oltre 20anni aveva accumulato gravi vergogne, compreso l'aver tradito la fiducia dei tedeschi che, per quanto atto necessario ed inevitabile ormai, certo non è tra le cose che ci han fatto onore. Solo ed Unicamente i partigiani hanno tenuto il nostro paese aggrappato a valori come Dignità e Coscienza Civile. Stupido e bestiale dire che il loro apporto non è servito come alcuni sostengono (secondo gli alleati furono importantissimi anche dal punto di vista militare, ma non è questo il point), as stupid not happy sticking to episodes of resistance, each has given.
what is it worth the resistance of Omar al-Mukhtar, then? Not delivered to Libya by the Italians. So? The value is all in those values, incommensurable, that are in dignity, not to succumb to an invader, and in its social and cultural corollaries. Intelligent Gaddafi to use the noble figure of this man for his own propaganda, stupid everyone, not just in Italy but all over the world, minimize or even diminish when these kinds of fighters.
Shame World
Perhaps the British colonialism in India have not combined anche di peggio e molto più a lungo di noi? O i francesi in Algeria? Ce ne sarebbero da citare! La storia del colonialismo è una storia di invasioni ed oppressioni, non dico nulla di straordinario, come affermare che il sole scalda.
Faccio notare che questo film è del 1981. Oggi possiamo dire che anche altri filmoni come Ghandi hanno calcato la mano su questo argomento, ma sono arrivati dopo. Il capolavoro di Gillo Pontecorvo, " La battaglia di Algeri ", è precedente ma parla soprattutto della lotta di liberazione. In questo film si parla molto ed in modo esplicito di "volontà colonizzatrice", delle ragioni che spinsero mussolini a portare avanti con ancora più decisione le politiche avviate da giolitti. Ho citato quanto conosco e mi viene in mente. Ce ne saranno stati anche altri di film che in un modo o nell'altro hanno condannato i colonialismi e le loro brutture, ma non mi pare moltissimi francamente fino a quell'epoca.
Da questo punto di vista il film è un pugno in faccia non solo per gli italiani, ecco il concetto che vorrei sia ben chiaro.
Visione consigliatissima. I frame parlano da soli.
